The LFA series breather valves are designed, manufactured, and tested according to API 2000 and EN 16852 standards. These valves are used on liquid storage tanks designed under API 520 / API 650 to prevent external flames from entering equipment where flammable vapors are present, or to stop flame propagation inside the facility. The flame arrester technology is based on narrow-porous heat-conductive elements, which dissipate heat and extinguish flames. Flame arrester structures may include gravel-type or metallic screen-type designs.
